Pokemon Mobile
Thursday, May 6, 2010
Here we have another hanging mobile designed for the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl card set. This was a conceptual piece that was created to capture some new business. I used the characters and logo from the cards but the backgrounds and conceptual layout came from me. The structure was designed to be manufactured in corrugated with litho laminated print. I rendered the structure in Strata and stripped the art in photoshop.

Pie in the Sky
Wednesday, May 5, 2010
This series is a set of mobiles that I created for a local Pie company to use in-store and seasonally. This company is very whimsical but wanted to start tightening up their image so they would attract franchise opportunities. These pieces helped to accomplish that.
This is a holiday lead in mobile for Thanksgiving and below is one used year round. These were created using a corrugated substrate so that the cost would be kept down and they could be replaced easily if damaged.

Holmes Smokehouse Sales Sheet
Monday, May 3, 2010
Here is the latest sales sheet for Holmes Smokehouse. This sheet is one of many for the Holmes brand and needed to fit in with the current branding of the sausage line.

Burton Sausage Sales Sheet
I just finished this one for Burton Sausage. They have never had a sales sheet before for their salesmen, this should hopefully give them a lot more credibility when approaching new and existing customers. I wanted to keep in mind the small town flavor with this product and brand image from the labels.

Strata is a powerful tool in the world of packaging design/retail display. This is a rendering that I did for the sales staff at a previous job to use as a selling tool to acquire some new business. This new corrugated blister packaging was way more eco friendly and just as secure using minimal plastic. I modeled everything here including the phones.

New Burton Sausage Labels
Burton Sausage is another brand I work with at Holmes Smokehouse. These are two separate companies owned by a parent organization that have two completely different flavor profiles and brand appearance. These new labels I created are an immense upgrade from what they are currently using. Which is a bland color driven no frills look. I've decided to give Burton a small town distressed feeling to bring it back to its roots of where the company started and to let the consumer know that the brand still has that small batch high end flavor that they have come to expect. This was a lot of fun to work on since I was able to incorporate some of my illustration into the piece. Below is the conceptual sketch I started with when I was brainstorming what this label should look like.
This one came all out of my head (no photo reference).

Hot Dog Billboard
My day job is with Holmes Smokehouse, a high end purveyor of fine meat products, where I work as the Director of Marketing/Creative Director. Last month we "unleashed" our own brand of hot dogs on the greater Houston market along with Dallas, and San Antonio. Above is the billboard campaign we currently have up all over the major byways in Houston. In designing this billboard I tried not to stray to much from our previous billboard campaigns which focuses heavily on our product shot. We also wanted to convey that our dog would be able to compete in the regional market and we accomplished this by calling out all the other big brands with a little comedy.
